To Arif: This is your answer, Daren have made it to the QF twice in a row now and fallen short of a few points from beating his better opponents.

Ask yourself Arif...you came from the same batch as Chen Long and what have you achieved since then ? Chen Long has moved to the top as Lee Chong Wei's challenger and you havent shown much progress in the senior level. Tragic....

hmm
arif lost 10k car deposit 2 days before this(robbed)
u did that?

Sad to see Liew Daren losing so tamely to Chen Jin. Guess he still doesn't have the ability to compete with the top players just yet. Time is running out!

I ´ve watched the matches live yesterday in Basel... In G1 he didn´t found his game and had way too much respect of CJ, but in G2 he played completly different and gave a really good fight!! He was really disappointed to lose the 2nd set especially after the crowd pushed him to a set point... He would have deserved a 3rd set!! In the beginning i was shocked after he was down 11-0, but in the 2nd he really showed his potential!!

It goes back to Liew Daren in believing in himself

It's good to read your post, as you were watching from court-side.

It goes back to Liew Daren in believing in himself. This match should be a great experience for him. He should be able to perform better at their next meeting.

That is reassuring to hear. Looks like he just has to improve on his mental strength and physical. Skills he seems to be already there... well, I wish him all the best...

From what I have read in this forum, he only needs to tell himself that he is playing singles court and not doubles court and he would have won many matches.

LEE wins!!

Woah!! The so called Veteran has swept the contender aside! Lee Hyun has defeated Chen Long 21-14 21-19.
Great match there!
