That's a really stupid and selfish thing to say, obviously they weren't doing this for fun - there's bound to be a reason why they were behaving that way and I'm pretty sure it's because of yesterday's fencing scandal. Either way for them to get up in front of millions and make a statement like that takes courage and passion and they clearly made their point this evening, whatever they were protesting for, that certainly got EVERYONE's attention, excluding the people who couldn't see past their own ignorance.
Although I definitely feel sorry for the fencer, Shin-A-Lam, but I hope BWF shows the same level of authority by disqualifying both the "match-fixers". Coming to Shin, she was totally denied her well deserved win and a medal. To make it worse she was made to play the bronze medal match after the fiasco which she lost.... Just imagine a player primed to win a Gold is now medal-less .. Shame on international fencing authority...
The worst part was the CHN pair kept looking at each (as if to put blame) when a "mistake" or a rally is lost. They are stupid enough to think that it would make their play acting look real and that the whole world were dumb!
Thanks for the explanation. I'm such an idiot that I thought that even if they lose one match, they're out. Why is it that even with a loss they can still proceed further to a later stage of competition?
I don't think so the koreans are at that much of fault as u r saying ...even though they played deliberately in starting of the match ,after the warning they played to win the match even though if it it doesn't mean they are playing at their best...but the chinese are too much there...
because it is a group match 4 players in each group and 2 winners of each group will proceed to the quarter final
