bad. but the mk3 already better than most DSLR and esp better than DSLRs from a few years ago. but it doesn't really bother me i never going to print any of these anyway. their purpose is to share with you guys here in BC and on facebook. so at these resolution, and with some noise reduction, it makes almost no difference. the gain in shutter speed at higher ISO is more dominant here than the little bit more noise.
hm... i didn't play there this weekend. so i cannot comment. but if you notice, the lighting arrangement is also quite different. they have no lights at the end of the courts, but instead they have 4 banks on each side crowded near the net area. that makes the rear of the court darker and that why you see a lot of the images are backlit. which make interesting and unique effect for photos. but i am not sure how it affect badminton play.
If I remember correctly from the 2010 US GPG thread, one of the US players looks like Chen Jin not sure if he played here though.
facebook photos yeah there's some compression effects on some of the photos I thought it was my photos but it turns out it's the compression ha ha
thanks! i have been enjoying taking wide angle shots lately. give a completely different feel to badminton photos when the environment is included.
All of these photos are great! Especially like how you captured people leaping through the air, about to wreak destruction on the poor goose feathered projectile. However this is probably my favorite. Wouldn't want to be up against this woman in a game -- or an argument.
Kwun great shots! I just founds this thread. Here are my favorites: You really captured the emotion on this one You can always capture James' jump smash at just the right time. You can tell James' has some hops and this isnt one of those low angle shots that make players look like they get up. Classy
..you can always bring your gear down here for an encore @ this yr's U.S. Open>>i heard some pretty big names are coming to town this yr *cross fingers*.. If you change your mind, Bubbles and I will be waiting for you.. *yeah, i can imagine shooting with that low of light level..
