Lydia won the rubber, she should have won earlier.

    Match of R2 has to be Markis/Hendra v Bodin/Maneepong followed by Nitya/Feinya v Hoo/Woon.

It'd be a very sad end to TH's SEAG career if he were to lose to Daren Liew. He doesn't seem inspired; things are not clicking at all. Don't think Liew has been playing his best in this tournament either; perhaps the pressure of being MAS's #1 singles player is too much for him to handle.

After a relatively straight-forward R16 matches yesterday, things become more interesting today.

    MS QF
Taufik Hidayat [1] vs Liew Daren - even if Taufik does beat Daren today, he has to entertain Tanongsak again tomorrow. I think he can still beat Daren despite his poor form.

Suppanyu Avihingsanon vs Simon Santoso [3] - a rematch and Simon will still prevail.

    WS QF
Gu Juan [3] vs Adriyanti Firdasari - a tough match for Firda and I hope she can still earn herself a medal.

    MD QF
    Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan
[1] vs Mak Hee Chun/Ong Soon Hock - no question about it, Bona/Ahsan have to take this one.

Bodin Isara/Maneepong Jongjit vs Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan [2] - as madbad mentioned, this is one of the match of the day, with the young and energetic Thai pair having beaten Kido/Hendra last Sunday. Can they make it a double? I am rooting for Kido/Hendra to slowly find their form!

    WD QF
    Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Anneke Feinya Agustine
[4] vs Vivian Hoo Kah Mun/Woon Khe Wei - another thrilling match is in store here with 2 emerging pairs from INA vs MAS. Expect a close fight and Nitya/Anneke nailing it in probably 3-sets.

Gelita Castilo/Dia Nicole Magno vs Vita Marissa/Nadya Melati [2] - a warm up match for the second-seed.

    XD QF
    Ahmad Tontowi/Liliyana Natsir
[1] vs Chayut Triyachart/Yao Lei - nothing less than a title here will be enough for Towi/Butet.

Estanislao Ronel/Malvine Ann Venice Alcala vs Mohd Rijal/Debby Susanto [4] - Rijal/Debby should earn at least a Bronze medal.

Yeah, Porntip will be much tougher. The crowd will have to do their part to help her

Not a bad performance from Tee Jing Yee, managed to put Porntip under pressure for almost 1 hour.

Not much use using TS if they don't update the results. Even the woefully slow SEAG website is more updated.
