Hey thanks for the results compilation. I was looking around for something complete like this and... VOILA! :)

Boy, Wang Xin's defeat sure is a shocker . I didn't think she could do any wrong after her exploits in the Uber Cup, where I thought she was CHN's best player.

In CBSL, WX is only 4:3 (wins:defeats), behind JYJ at 7:0, WL at 5:2 and WSX at 4:1. WX is a spirited fighter, but not as polished as other top players in terms of badminton skills.

Right. But I do love the way she plays and she's got such spirit. I mean LYB trusted her ahead of others at the UC and she repaid his confidence. In fact she is currently my fave CHN WS player. Unfortunately she does not register on the Babe scale for me :p

Wow, Jiang Yanjiao never lost so far  I notice the scoreline from suetyan's compiled result, she won all matches with straight-set except against Wang Lin.

yup, Lin Dan and Jiang Yanjiao are the most consistent players so far. Both are also from PLA. JYJ only dropped one game against Wang Lin. JYJ is on fire now. Haha... :D WYH has the poorest results so far. She played in 5 matches, but only won one.

WYH is really in bad form and she'll be out of WC camp if this continues. The problem with JYJ is that she is good against her teammates but less impressive against outsiders.

..well, if the thinking is "LYB trusted her (WX) ahead of others at the UC and she repaid his confidence", then shouldn't LYB play WX as 1st WS (in the Final Rd.) instead of The Kitten (WYH)??..

Not at all. LYB fielded his team according to what he thought was the best winning combination, which was WX at WS2.

What I'm trying to say is WX is probably the first name on LYB's team sheet. Then he builds the combinations around her. Fair comment?

the league is set up to be a professional club league, with player transfer system, draft system, and each player would receive annual salary for playing for a club.

they also allowed foreign players, but this year just limited to those having WR within top 8 as a starter, as this is the 1st year and they would like to prioritize for Chinese players. You know, it's a big financial commitment for a club in this 1st year.

as said, this is a professional league where the players have a private contract with the private badminton clubs. Say for soccer, Wayne Rooney play for MU as a professional player, and also play for England as a national team player.

yes, we should applaud for China, as they would be sacrifising some national honours in order to set up the league which is really needed by badminton players badly to make a consistent and sustainable living.

imagine that there are so many players other than top players like LD, BCL, CJ.... that could not win, or even could not have a chance to enter the international competitions...

although BWF claimed they would like to promote badminton sport, but there is little hope in foreseable future that BWF would be able to make badminton like tennis that most (if not all) of the players could really make a living out of it. The sports would shrink if it could not be professionalized to attract more talents...

So is there any foreign players playing in the league now ! , when you say top 8 , does that include pairs from the doubles, or could it be one of the top 8 player from the pair ?

Thanks for your keep uploading the results as well. And I also think china is doing a good job in sports promotion. Lin Dan is my favorite player, hope he can keep fit and have a goog rest.
