normally indon chinese does have a chinese name also?? I am just geussing, see from susi susanti, chandra wijaya, rudy, hendrawan etc... what's taufik's?? does he have one?
Loh, and idweltall, It doesn't matter he is a muslim or a christian but I can ensure you (99%) that Taufik isn't Chinese. Just curious : From where do you know that Taufik a chinese ?
Taufik is NOT Chinese. just because he is one of the best singles player and that he has proven to the world that he can beat Lin does not make him part Chinese
Taufik is definitely not Indonesian chinese, but again race is NOT a matter in sports, go Taufik, i support you along the way. haha..
Mm... do I smell something fishy here? How did you know Lin was going to lose? The news media quotes Taufik as saying that he felt he was not playing the "real Lin Dan". Might there be some secret health-related reasons? Or even that something was internally fixed by the Chinese coaches? (Not that I'm surprised that Taufik could beat Lin Dan. It's just that these quotes trigger imaginations, haha...)
if you read this you should understand you are going too far this is the original message he left Quote: Originally Posted by *GaDe~CaMiLlA* yes......TAUFIK WILL WIN THIS TIME!!!!!!!! But I think maybe Lindan will make you disappointed.Say sorry to you for lin dan ahead.
susi susanti: Wang Lianxiang chandra wijaya: Chen Jialiang rudy: Liang Hailiang hendrawan: Ye Chengwan
nah.... Lin Dan cracked under pressure because Taufik was simply too good and too skillful Lin made so many mistake after taufik slowly caught up... my friend was there to see it hehe... mmm.... dont that remind u of Olympic 2004 final when Taufik beat shon???(same scenario)
What actually happened right after the match?? Did Gade really cried? Poor Gade, hope he gets a better draw next event
Those are their original chinese names. That's why I think Taufik is not an indonisian chinese, since he is called Tao Feike in China, a straightforward translation based on pronunciation. Mia: Zhang Haili
no what i mean then is that since she has a chinese name, does that make her an indonesian chinese? she doesnt look like one to me.
Sure not. Many americans have chinese names. That do not make them chinese for sure. my brother-in-law's tai chi teacher has a chinese name jin tiayang. but she's definitely an american. on the other hand, as a tradition, the chinese media does not just make up a chinese name for an indonisian player. usually if they have a chinese name, they will use it. otherwise, it will be a translation based on pronunciation. so since mia is called zhang haili in china, i think she is probably an indonisian chinese.
