Heryanto Halim partners David Pohan Halim Haryanto partners Thomas Indrawijaya Or is there a mistake on IBF's draw?
US Open Draw Halim Heriyanto Ho partners with David Pohan Halim Haryanto partners with Thomas Indrajaya Two separate individuals with similar sounded name. !!! Remember Taufik Hidayat and Taufik Akbar Hidayat !!
Is there any indonesian fan who could give us informations about all these Indonesians? Including Halim's new(?) partner?
Indonesian Players @ US Open There are 8 Indo Players participating at this year US Open. They are as follows : Heryanto Arbi partnering with Lioe, Tiong Ping for MD Heryanto Arbi partnering with Angelina De Pauw for MX Angelina De Pauw & Eny Erlangga for WD Eny Erlangga & Halim Heryanto Ho for MX Halim Heryanto Ho & David Pohan for MD Halim Setio Haryanto & Thomas Indrajaya for MD It appears to me these are mostly ex national players who have retired from PBSI except maybe Halim Heryanto Ho.
I am confused who is the famous HALIM?Halim Heryanto Ho or Halim Setio Haryanto? I can see halim's full name is Halim Haryanto in the IBF's world ranking. So Halim Setio Haryanto must be the famous HALIM? Otherwise ,Halim Setio Haryanto & Thomas Indrajaya is the 8th seeds, if Halim Setio Haryanto is not the famous Halim, the pair can't be seeds.
Exactly, he is the former single number one. BUt at this Open he is just playing for fun .... only MD and MX events. In fact, i just met and chit chatted with him last night at OCBC. The "gang" just got back from Las Vegas. There are 9 ex national players coming from Indo. I am afraid this players might cause upsets in all the events they play in. Just wait and see !!!
Arbi Heryanto partnering with Angelina De Pauw lost their first round match against a Canadian Team (Milroy & Tammy Sun) in a three set match. They both did not seem to play well together; most of the time, Angelina was in the back doing the attacking while Arby was covering the front/net area. Lots of unforced errors in the part of Arby; he looked a bit rusty from not playing at the competitive level for so long. I dont know how well he will do in MD in this afternoon. Halim Haryanto & Erny Erlangga won their 1st Round MX pretty easily. Tony Gunawan lost his bid for the Single Match against a younger player from Chinese Taipei in a three setters 14-17, 15-0, 15-10. Tony appeared to be hitting lots of shots on the double lines/alleys. Plus he looked like he was out of gas on the second game because during the first game really, the Taiwanese has already emptied out his gas tank. On the second game, Tony was playing with almost emptied tank. In the 3rd deciding set, he tried to come back but the younger player played so smart by running him around and let the shuttles rallied longer ..... so it was a dramatic ending of the game. Tony looked disappointed after the game. I just hope it will not effect his bid for the first player to win his 3rd consecutive US Open champion 3 times in a row. I am keeping my finger cross
As I know, the famous Halim is : Halim is first name Ho is family name Halim Haryanto or Halim Heryanto is boy's name I'm also confused with Haryanto or Heryanto like Haryanto Arbi or Heryanto Arbi. Another Halim is Setyo Haryanto Halim (Halim is his family name) So famous Halim have partner with David Pohan, I thaught any mistake in seeded MD draw.
I was told that david pohan is the brother of jimmy pohan who used to be number 1 singles in the US and also was some jr champ back in indo. I heard David is very good indeed. btw any one see the results online? seems liek tournamentsoftware.com is all messed up now. edit: nevermind i can access it now.
Well I have my answer : Heryanto Arbi's level in doubles is NOT brilliant judging on the results He did win his first round match in MD however... Annoying that only half of yesterday's results are updated on the site... About both Halim's, it seems that IBF got mixed up then, because they seeded the unknown Halim instead!
who knows something about Lili ZHOU and Johanna LEE?They have been in the WS Semi of US OPEN as qualify players. Are they come from Chinese Mainland or Taiwan?
WS Semis Lili Zhou vs Susan Hugues Johanna Lee vs Xing Aiying same question as SmartCivet, who are these two new(?) american girls? Other question : isn't Xing Aiying extremely young? (if my memory is right)
MD Semis Halim Haryanto (the "real" one?)/David Pohan vs Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen Jesper Larsen/Joachim Fischer Nielsen vs Howard Bach/Tony Gunawan
WD Draw Chen Wen Hsing/Chien Yu Chin vs Li Yujia/Jiang Yanmei Liza Parker/Suzanne Rayappan vs Ku Pei Ting/Chou Chia Chi
