^^so you want my opnion on them??..^^

..who mentioned they could be called up to the national squad? who mentioned they are world beaters??..
Now, as for my own opinion on them after seeing their performance in this yr's WJC, i would say they are not yet ready. Their game still needs improvement and they are yet to be tested in more international matches. I'd say, they would have to wait *at least* another yr before i'd consider them joining the national team..
But that is my opinion and if the players think they could/would love to join the national team soon (this yr), then i can't really say much..

of course every players are looking forward to join the national team and they can only do that based on their results;)

i have also seen them play last week and being winner of the wjc earlier this year i can see they still have between 2 to 3 tough opponents at their current level not to mention losing to one of them.:D

so for them its more hard work and they better perform faster. winning the wjc makes their team mates more eager to overtake them!:D

goh giap chin won the u18 boys singles beating loh wei sheng 21-18, 21-18!

i was watching goh throughout all his matches as he is the shortest guy in that category (+/-165cm). just to see how does a short guy managed the guys taller than him in court but i didn't expect him to be the champion! oh boy! this guy runs everywhere and has good net returns and jump smash!

after seeing him won the semi final against lim yu sheng 21-17 25-27 21-16, i though he must be very tired for the final!

Unheralded Giap Chin pips favourite Wei Sheng to U-18 title

“There was no pressure on me today as I was not the favourite.
“I just focused on playing my own game and treated the final as if it was a training game,” said Giap Chin.
“Wei Sheng was the favourite but I’m glad to have pulled off the upset win.”

    Giap Chin stuns Wei Sheng

Giap Chin's next aim is play for Penang in the Malaysia Games in Malacca which begins in a fortnight. If he doesn't make it, he is likely to play in the Jakarta International Open Under-18 event.

"If selected for the Malaysia Games, my target will be to win a medal. It won't be easy as the national back-up players will also be in action in Malacca," he said.

Ow/Yew will be roped into back up squad under TKH, so will Tan Wee Tat/Goh Sze Onn. Normally the juniors only join back up the next year but this year's WJC finished early. TKH wants to have them early to work on them, since they'll go up back up anyway.;)

Both the finalists are relatively short. It is a clear disadvantage for them in progressing further.

In fact, is OYH, YHK, and CKM all under TKH after WJC. OYH/CKM was last edition WJC winner, while OYH/YHK is the latest 1. All still under TKH decision on who's pairing up. IMO, i prefer OYH/CKM as a pair. As refer to ctjcad over this year WJC comments, i do agree with what's been said. In fact, OYH/YHK partnership still having a lot of "blank holes". As compare to OYH/CKM, CKM tends to play more brilliant, although he has not much power as compare to YHK.

Yeah, the official list is Ow & Yew will go up back up 1st. The rest have to wait, dunno what's the reason.
I prefer Ow/Chooi combo too, I think so does Ow, Chooi more stable, Yew nervy type. We shall see how they partner with those from their state during SUKMA

especially goh gc who is still shorter than loh ws ...

goh has improved a lot since last year but unfortunately not his height
he has to improve more to compensate for that and also his winning chance against a number of the back up players

if he keeps on winning what can the coaches do but to train him ;)

like Arif Latif... height is a major problem for single players... very few male players under 170cm manage to get to the top

during the recent 100plus gp final, i do noticed quite a number of the under 12 players are short, some real short and may not grow to 170cm when they are 16 or 17 yrs old so what would the scenario be, say, 3 years in a row all the state ba produced all these midget?

there are no rules at the moment requiring height for players - only the winners are chosen
