Oh if that's your aim then that works out rather perfectly. I love the 4U ZFII. It's an amazing racket. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
Same. Back then gotten 4u though. BP is highest I seen, but still usable for doubles. Now I wonder... based on the machine swing weight reading, the new 3u might be interesting. Anyone with 99lcw 3u to comment?
I guess it's like... A full namd 88d with a tinge more flex? Might be psychology at work.. But I felt less vibration with 99 than 88d
Oh I get what you mean mate. In comparison the 99 is a full NAMD frame compared to the half a head of the 88D, so there should be that difference in feedback. I just don't see the point of it after alteration when the 88D exists. It just ends up filling a really niche spot don't you agree? Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
yea, agree, very niche placement in the chart indeed, would be hard to justify for someone to get the other one. then again it seems in trend, along with lining, having so many models, that on chart is almost similar. but i guess tts how they roll in the $$..
I have 2 old batch AX99 3U and its pretty good. And by that I mean they are thiccbois. But honestly, I don't feel so much difference when I play(I also have BS12 3U). OFC BS12 is faster no duh, but its not like I play better or worse, maybe my Backhand clear comes whippier with BS12 but its all about the same. Don't expect small changes in weight to change your game. Footwork, form, anticipation... are 10x more important. IMO the only real difference left is just 3U or 4U. If anyone is worried about weight just get the 4U.
My AX 99 4u lcw just arrived and I gripped it..I tried to compare it to my old ax99 4u that I’d bought at launch and the difference is very noticeable when it comes to balance, my old racquet felt like it had too much weight in the head whilst the newer lcw feels much comfortable. I can confirm there’s a change in balance but I’ve been told that Yonex made this change right after getting conmplaints after ax99 initial launch..
Someone got hold of LCW racket from LCW relative. Wooo https://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/index.php?posts/2746300
Tried my friend's AX99 LCW (4UG5) few days ago, I can say it's significant different from my AX99 old batch (4UG5). The AX99 LCW is more light head and able to swing faster, I felt it's more easy to play overall, smashing feel more effortless compare AX99 old batch, maybe due to my lousy skills, hahaha. When I switched to use my another AX88D (4UG5), my smashing wasn't powerful as AX99 LCW (4UG5), but swing speed both about the same. That's my personal opinion based on my personal experience with my lousy skills. Now I only use my AX99 old batch for warming up and played for first 2 games, then will switched to AX88D (4UG5) or LDF (4UG5) for the rest of the games.
Similar swing speed but more powerful smash? Now the AX99 LCW pique my interest. Waiting for more reviews.
true, I’ve a 4ug4 lcw variant and my old ax99 feels much heavier in the head whilst this one is significantly better balanced and offers the same power, old ax99 seems a bit overkill, especially because there’s namd all Over the frame.
It appears that all the LCW variants of racquets are less head heavier? I've got a blue and red Duora 10 LCW edition and when I picked up my friend's orange and green duora 10 I was so surprised by how much heavier it was Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
It's probably most likely for marketing purposes. If a named racquet is easier to use then more people will be able to use it so more sales. Think about LDF, it's like an easier and friendlier version of zf2.
