Huang YX is already 25 y.o. while Qiao B will turn 26 soon, looks like their fate may follow Wang ZM & Tian HW at the end.
Too bad no livestream for Ct 4, I'd like to see how Han Yue takes G1, 21-14, from Chochuwong Pornpawee

On Tuesday, the national No 2 reached the second round with a 21-16, 22-20 win over Singapore’s Terry Hee-Putri Sari Dewi Citra. Shevon said: "Looking at the World Championships draw, we have a good chance of going far, so we shouldn't be complacent. "Once at the World championships, every pair will give their best because it's the highest level. "Soon Huat and I are determined to give our best in Singapore because it will boost our confidence in our preparation for the World Championships.” Soon Huat-Shevon, who received a first round bye in the World Championships, will face the winners of Wednesday's match between China's Ren Xiangyu-Tang Jinhua and Thailand's Parinyawat Thongnuam-Kittipak Dubthuk, on Thursday. Meanwhile, last year's Asian junior champion Leong Jun Hao, once again failed to impress, crashing out in the qualifying round of the Singapore Open. Jun Hao, who is bound for the Asian Games in Indonesia next month, struggled to win his first match, 21-15, 12-21, 21-11 against Taiwan's Kan Chao Yu, before going down 21-18, 21-18 to India's R.M.V. Gurusaidutt.
The Singapore XD pair may be defeated by Ahmad/Natsir but the male player got a very nice souvenir from Ahmad. They exchanged t shirts. I didn't see the females do that
2:40 PM XD Tontowi AHMAD [1] [INA] Liliyana NATSIR [INA] - [SGP] Danny Bawa CHRISNANTA [SGP] WONG Jia Ying Crystal 21-9 21-13 0:23 Danny hailed from Indonesia and joined the Singapore team when he was much younger. He must have been a good friend of Tontowi Ahmad. This is a very good gesture from Tontowi!
On livescore, Han Yue, 19-16...19-19...20-19...21-19. Well done, booting out Thai up-and-comer Chochuwong Pornpawee ! 18-yr-old Han Yue is improving, the other week she came from behind to beat her compatriot Cai Yanyan in three sets after dropping G1 tamely, today she takes out CP in a seemingly hard-fought three-setter. Keep it up.
Unfortunately, this one is BWF's problem of bad scheduling. A tournament before World Championship? Who will want to spent their precious energy here before the grandest of them all?
Huang Yuxiang beat Angus Ng, not bad in the run-up to the Nanjing WC where, however, he is slated to meet the defending world champion, Viktor Axelsen, in round 2, a stern test indeed.
What's the point of all the training day in day out if you can't short serve (looking at Gabby Adcock here). Is it really that hard to change her serve?
