Don't see anything different from usual.

Mainly younger players in this tournament.

Looks like there is a chance for Cai Yanyan to upset Zhang Beiwen.

Zhang Beiwen done and dusted by CYY, who wins 15-21, 21-11, 21-16.

A surprise result for Cai Yanyan beating Zhang Beiwen who outplayed the teenager in G1 only to be overtaken in the next two sets making quite a number of unforced errors.

Nevertheless, it's an encouraging victory for the 18-yr-old youngster who still has much to learn from the experienced established players.

Indeed, local favourite, 19-yr-old Yeo Jia Min, lifts the hearts of the home crowd by defeating the better-known 26-yr-old Thai veteran, Porntip Buranaprasertsuk, winning G2 narrowly by 24-22 after wrapping up G1, 21-12.

Both Michelle Li, esp, and Zhang Beiwen, have been playing quite a lot these two months, probably to make their trip to Asia worthwhile and making as much prize money as possible (read that ZBW is crowdfunding for her expenses even)

Hm? I thought I saw Sourabh VERMA vs PARUPALLI Kashyap was flagged "Walkover" earlier but now they are back being scheduled as the last match of the day.

Michelle takes it to the decider, a close shave in G2, 22-20. Lyanny Mainaky looks promising, but she gave ML a lifeline despite leading most of the way in G2.

That's strange, conceded a walkover then reinstated, never happened before, I believe.

Michelle snatches victory from the jaws of defeat, making her experience count in the decider, despite signs of fatigue, it seems.

Just checked that Lyanny Mainaky is 21 already, not that young.

well i guess this is already an achievement for her....pushing MichelleLi to the limit... certainly much better than the usual lose meekly in first match of 20 tournaments in a row or something

inexperience vs experienced, of the latter win, imagine LZJ's opponent is LCW, the score is even no eyes look...
