Even I heard it. That only member of this forum from Korea posted it like that. Sent from my SM-G600FY using Tapatalk
Biggest surprise is Vincent in the semis. Not that he is not good, but does he have more surprises to offer, when nobody is expecting them from him at this stage? He gave a hint yesterday when he beat CTC.
Oh, Wong Wing Ki beating Chou Tien Chen in straight sets, much to my surprise. He must have read my comment and seek to prove me wrong.
Unlucky because he always get drawn against Son Wan Ho. Same country affair is not always an exciting for audience.
He basically said that he was exhausted; gas tank empty. He should have won G2 and was disappointed with himself that he did not manage to do that. On another note, a few people in here display quite a bit of hate towards VA. Why? It is fair to not like him, to cheer for the players from your own country or other personal favourites. But there is no need to be condescending when someone else's favourite loses. This is not YouTube's comment section. Let's keep it that way. Edit: Also, I don't know why it is so hard, and it's not like it matters much.. but for anyone interested.. his name is spelled like this: Viktor Axelsen. No 'c', no 'o' and only one 's'.
well for me it's not hate.... i just find it very stupid that someone of RARE TALENT like VA again loses a match becoz of tomato face and wobbly legs... if you're 17yrsold competing in the junior world tourneys that MAY be acceptable... but come on this is the senior world tournaments the highest level of badminton in the world.. and this tomato face and wobbly legs and kiddo stamina has been a known problem for some time..... and no one in denmark gonna do anything about it? what about the coach? i just find it quite dumb sorry bout the rant.... just my 2 cents
@It'sMeMeMe: I did not refer to you. Your comments were "almost" fine ... "Tomato face".. that is just caucasian + exhaustion. "Wobbly legs".. that is just being tall + exhaustion. The essential factor here is exhaustion. Is that acceptable? Perhaps not. Depends on the circumstances. But this is not exactly the first time a player has lost a match due to exhaustion. And VA's stamina has in fact improved over the last year. A year ago he would not have beaten a third game against LCW, regardless of LCW's form.
good to see Zhang Ning. she always travel to the European tournaments in Germany, Denmark and France...
I don't agree with Steen's comments on drift playing a part in Victor's losses. Having said that, it is for both the players. And who will handle the drift better than the players from the host country? . Victor's home ground where he would have practiced even more time than SK. Then how come he is blaming drift for his loss, it's beyond my imagination.
i know you were not referring to me ... i was just saying what was in my mind ... perhaps what was inside some minds of some ppl here too.... i would accept all your replies/explanation except for 1 thing plenty of very tall players in professional sports all over the globe have strong legs.... being tall doesn't excuse non-existent leg muscles this wobbly legs is very important in badminton... coz it will affect the quality of shots..... and i have seen enough VA videos of him almost tripping coz of it, including one during the recent World Championship.... you don't want nasty injury ruining the future of arguably europe's shiniest badminton star right?
