I am surprised Chai Biao and Hong Wei are ranked so high. Hong Wei for me is a good doubles player but i feel that Chai Biao is the weak link. If I am not mistaken Hong Wei has played with Zheng Siwei in the Thomas cup. For me thats an interesting Pairing and should be given a chance. I feel all the old pairings should be split.
Yes, that's true. TTY (and most Taiwanese players) likes to emulate Taufik and Indonesian players. But overall, LXR is better than TTY.
Well they only struggle against smaller and faster opponents, they win pretty much against anyone else. Not surprised they are ranked high
True. And they did it again. 5 consecutive wins. The Chinese never won over these petite and fast Japanese.
I wonder why CBA do not try to partner Bao Yixin and Zhang Nan. They will make a great XD player. After ZYL retired, BYX and CQC are the next best things in China XD.
another Taufik emulator: Hu Yun... i watched CTC vs Bonsana the other day live at the stadium. My goodness me: it was like a Taufik impersonation contest!!
Riony Mainaky. His daughter's name is Lyanny Mainaky, also playing in this tournament. So the family reunion happen when the daughter joining international tournament. A nice story about them: http://bwfbadminton.com/2016/04/12/young-mainaky-makes-mark-day-1-oue-singapore-open-2016/
Only some similarity, Chen Long is much better, he has to contend with two of the greatest players, namely, LCW and LD the last few years for supremacy whereas Marin is just one among many who can beat each other on a good day, and her negative H2H records with several of her rivals don't reflect well on her despite landing 2 WC and 1 OG titles, an anomaly to me.
Zheng Siwei and Chen Qing Chen is enough to rule the XD. Regarding CQC and BYX, I think CQC and Tang Yuanting would be a better pair in WD.
This WS era has to be the strongest ever. Incredible really. And Marin winning the big ones when it matters. Can't complain I guess.
i dont think the ws match was that good, they made too many errors marin said her toughest opponent is lxr but in her profile it said herself http://bwf.tournamentsoftware.com/profile/biography.aspx?id=213226C1-39FD-4443-A603-69E07939C39E she's no longer an underdog like 2 yrs ago. #1, 3 major champs pressure herself
