Wow.. glad to hear that but really, Rosyita is great stuff for INA WD in near futures.. I think if she join seleknas this year or next year.. she will just simply pass it Ouch, they lost tightly to the Danes... But anyway, they have eliminated several of their opponents in later WJC/AJC.. They beat ALL 4 KOR pairs in German Junior and the Danes GD in here.. But, later in Sirnas, which category they will play on? GD U-19 or WD?
Updates from Hungary Junior: The Koreans SWEEP 4 TITLES so far in BS, GS, GD, XD! BD will be decided between KOR and DEN. It's good to see Edi/Melati beating the more experienced pair in the SF! They will also have a tough task today. XD FINAL Roman Zirnwald/Elizabeth Baldauf [1] vs Edi Subaktiar/Melati Daeva Oktaviani - the top-seeded Austrians are WR 47, just below Irfan/Wenni (WR 46) and they were the runner-up last year! If Edi/Melati can beat them, that will be a tremendous achievement! I still think the chance of them being champions is higher than Edi/Arya's. MD FINAL Laurent Constantin/Sebastian Vincent [1] vs Edi Subaktiar/Arya Maulana Aldiartama - Edi/Arya clearly show why they should be picked for AJC/WJC this year, with 2 Finals and 1 SF appearance in their European tour. It will be tough against the WR 59 (having won the Estonian Int 2012). Let's see if Edi/Arya can prove me wrong.
It will be great if Edi/Melati could upset the top seed. It means, they beat the two top seed and more experience pairs here.
I pretty much agree... in XD, the chances of Edi-Melati is: 55-45... while in MD, the chances of Edi-Arya is: 51-49... I predict 2 titles for INA tonight.
yeeeaaaahhh!!! congrats to Edi/Melati for winning!! I'm so excited.. hehehe.. The result havent been updated yet by TS, but u can see the result here: http://www.banuinvest-badminton.ro/results.htm edi/melati in the 1st place.. And the austria pair as runner up..
2 titles for Edi Subaktiar/Melati Daeva Oktaviani in their European tour as they beat the 2nd seed in straight-sets! So, they have beaten the top 2 seeds here in Romania to win their first senior-level tourney (International Series level). They won a total of 13 matches and lost just once (to the HKG pair Lee Chun Hei/Ngan Yi Cheung). Congratulations to them once again!

Congrats Edi/Melati !!!
Team INA will have to be satisfied with just 1 title in XD as Edi/Arya lost in 3-sets to the top-seed Laurent Constantin/Sebastian Vincent. The scoreline is almost identical to last week's defeat in the German Junior, with Edi/Arya forcing rubber-set (22-20 in the second-set) but ended up losing 17-21 in the decider. It has been a good harvest for PB Djarum in this European tour, with 4 titles won over the past 3 weeks in XD (Dutch Junior & Banuinvest Int), BS & GD (German Junior).
INA's BD level is still consistently high... Both Edi-Arya and Kevin-Felix never loose meekly to any of their opponents that defeated them... I hope they all got good exposure and experience against Europeans...
Hehehe, look at these scorelines... almost identical... It's no shame losing to the Europeans and the Hong Kong pair. One thing for sure, the Europeans are taller and looks quite dangerous in their attacks (from what I saw of the match involving Edi/Arya and the Danes last week).
Yea! The top Danes are clearly skillful. Denmark are like INA, MAS, KOR, and CHN... never stop producing higly skilled technicians generation after generation... I am quite happy that the French, Germans, etc. are producting better skilled athletes nowadays. I think it is due to their federation's success in generating more and more interests in badminton... Kudos for them. As for these guys, Edi-Arya, Kevin-Felix, Melati-Rosyita, Thomi, Henrikho, Reksy, etc. they will very likely see more international action, joined by some more up-and-coming U-19 stars for 2013 (Jeka-Rafi, Arinda, Bayu Pangestu, etc.)... May: Smiling Fish Thailand International Series (possibly) June: Specs-Tangkas Indonesia Junior International Challenge July: AJC (ultimately it will depend on PBSI), Victor Indonesia International Challenge August: Sushant Chipalkatti Memorial India International Junior September: Malaysia International Youth U19, Indonesia GP Gold October: WJC November: Li-Ning Singapore Youth International Series
That will be a busy year ahead for these juniors. Oh btw, Vito, Gifar, and Wisnu Yuli NEED TO PARTICIPATE in one junior event before AJC 2012 so that their ranks can go up higher! I don't think PBSI is even aware of this fact!
I will also be following the progress of Praveen Jordan/Didit Juang Indrianto very closely. One thing for sure, I believe they are in better hands (in terms of tournaments planning) than in PBSI. Djarum's coaches do not just anyhow pick the tourneys for their players, like what we have witnessed in Europe. Mohd Ulinnuha's progress has been stalled since he joined Pelatnas
I asure you they are not aware of it..... There are quite a few dense-minded people (yet ignorant about the current badminton world's realities) in the management there.......
What birthyear is still elligible for WJC this year? (Just checked) 1994 it is, so these here Danish girls are also still eligible and will certainly be there. Good performance nevertheless and will come down to the day should they meet again ...
I heard from the Djarum management that Jordan is having 'disciplinary' problems [the kid is still not focused in becoming a true champion], while Didiet is undergoing some treatment for a light knee injury (along with Maria Kristin and Lius Pongoh)... So, sending the original plan to send them to quick-kill tournaments like Maldives Challenge and Fiji Challenge is in jeapordy...
