From watching the Canadian Open video, her footwork is still very smooth. She definitely can challenge the young Chinese players. Wish she can move to Hong Kong very soon, and back to the top again like Zhou Mi. :)

i hope she NEVER move to anywhere,,,,, if she can challenge the young Chinese players than she should stay in National team.....just play for CHINA and don't move anywhere.... i think that she, Jiang Yanjiao ( and maybe Wang Xin) has the abillity to become the backbone of the CHN WS squad,,, the others just inexperience.. :(

Zhu Lin won the 2010 Yonex OCBC U.S. Open Grand Prix Gold Badminton Championships WS title and this means she has won back to back tournaments in 2 consecutive weeks. In the process, she beat Pi Hong Yan again.
No doubt her world ranking will improve considerably and it is hoped that she will get back into the Chinese national team.

ZL and WYH both play for Shanghai. She beat WSX instead of WYH. She didn't play well against Juliane and Schenk and Judith Meulendijks but somehow found a way to win. The Chinese WS team is now struggling also with all these young players. Maybe they need an experienced player like Zhu Lin to lead them.

nope, she bt Wang Xin instead of Wang Shixian. On 30 May, WSX defeated ZL 21-16, 21-18. On 20 June, ZL defeated WX 21-13, 17-21, 21-19. :)

..imo, after watching her win in the recently ended U.S. Open, it's hard to justify her being back to the National team and be a part of the CHN WS squad again. Sure, her experience would help. But imo, playing against competition like Schenk, Pi HY, Meulendijks is not really the same as playing against younger, more fit players like Saina and her other compatriots. And that's before the other Korean players..IMO, she needs to compete and prove to herself that she can beat the other top WS players in the world consistently if she wants to be considered as part of the CHN WS squad, again..

Zhu Lin will need to be more injury-free before she can catch up with top players

    .
The decision will depend on LYB.

IMHO, Zhu Lin will need to be more injury-free before she can catch up with other Top World WS players.

I don't think Zhu Lin will return to the National Team, quit is quit. It is just too pressure to be in the National Team, playing as an independent player can enjoy more flexibility and freedom.

Zhu Lin needed to strapped up her leg; she is not injury-free

    .
Don't know. But looking at how Zhu Lin needed to strap up her leg, it shows that she is not injury-free.:eek::eek:

I wonder whether Zhu Lin would play for the CHN team, if CBA calls her back

    .
Like Taufik Hidayat, when PBSI calls him back to represent the INA team, he would.

I wonder whether Zhu Lin would play for the CHN team, if CBA calls her back.

do u think CBA will call her back since they had have enough quality assurance players such as WX, WSX, JYJ and etc. More youngsters are coming up such as LXR, LX, CXJ and etc. If I were ZL, I will choose to remain as an independent player.

Maybe ZL should not ask to return to CBA but play for say, Hong Kong, which is part of China. That way there will no problem with the BWF rules. Hong Kong has good logistics, coaches and financial muscle and she could progress from there just like Zhou Mi.
2011 is big for super series badminton with Korea offering US$1,000,000.00 and Indonesia US$600,000.00. Four other countries are offering US$350,000.00.
Assuming a singles player wins 1 super series title and reaches 2 final and 2 semi final placings, that would translate into substantial earnings.
    Go for it ZL.
