Zhou Mi will not represent HK in 2008 Olympics

    I feel sorry for ZM but I'm happy for Yippy. Hopefully in 4 months,she improves enough to justify her qualification (Has she qualified?).

    Actually Zhou Mi does not qualify to Beijing Olympics 2008 because she has no SAR passport. Even if she has the passport, she will not be allowed to represent Hong Kong in Beijing Olympics 2008. This, I understand is because of the BWF regulation on international representation. Zhou Mi last represented China at the 2005 World Championship in Anaheim, USA and she lost in the 1st round on 15 Aug 2005 ? And she has to wait till 3 years before she can represent another country because World Championship is one of the tournament under this regulation. So, she missed by 6 days as the 1st match of badminton at the Olympics 2008 is 9 Aug 2008 ?

    same goes for tony G too? He can't represent INA nor USA, is that right? , Kinda sad as I like to see candra+tony in the OG.

    As far as I know Tony still hold INA passport since he only has USA's Permanent Residency, so quite similar situation. Tony hasn't represent INA for a long time though.
