Hello guys my voltric z-force LTD is only 1 week old. i got it on the 28th of may and only played for 3 hours on sunday 3rd of june 2012. this morning 4th of june, i only played it for 30 minutes and there was a small clash with a friend and the racket frame cracked. the racket was 4UG5 at 25lbs recommended tension. i got this racket from mybadmintonstore and it has a 3month warranty... so what are the best reasons to claim this warranty and what are my chances of getting another Yonex voltric z-force LTD SP version???
1) If I'm not mistaken, recommended tension for recent Yonex rackets besides DX frame Arcsabers is 24lb 2) Pretty sure warranty doesn't cover clashes. Not 100% sure though.
http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/shop/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=11&products_id=1394 this is where i got the racket... the 4U says 19-26lbs what can i do to get another racket???
VTZF Ltd is quite vulnerable, i guess.. Not too long a go, i had my stringer string my rackets, he told me that he just applied string to the brand new VTZF LTD at 30Lbs, & suddenly, it cracks. Machine used is Yonex ES 5 Pro. I could assure you that this stringer is probably one of the best in my town, & usually as informed by my friend he is a regular stringer at BWF badminton competition organized in our city. Well it is indeed strung above the normal tension, however i usually have my YY rackets strung at around 28-29Lbs, they could take it..
I guess you should describe the situation you face.... I have never dealt with this kind of problem, please wait for other fellow members to answer..
If there is any evidence of a clash...I think you're out of luck. I seriously doubt any manufacturer would replace a racket that got broken on a clash. That's like taking a car back to the dealership after a car crash and wanting a new replacement. But who knows....maybe Yonex will be generous and give you a replacement for free. No harm in trying I guess. Remember...the squeeky wheel gets the grease.
I broke my VTZF 2 months ago during a clash...I got a replacement from Yonex UK, the most important thing is do not mention you broke it during a clash, Yonex won't replace it. You can say you broke the racquet when you miss hit on the frame (highly unlikely but possible) and that's the "excuse" I used...
Will yonex take racket only buy from UK, I bought mine from HK and now has a crack without clash, will they take it for replacment? thanks
