From my perspective, the head weight of Voltric 10DG totally felt like my VTZF 3UG4. Just compared. Sorry, don"t have the right equipment to measure the weight. Could be great and cheap replacement to the old and not available VTZF. Also supports higher tension. P.S The Voltric 10DG is 3UG5
I got a couple of DG 7 rackets for Xmas so I can start playing again after about 8 years out. Used them last night. A bit underwhelmed, although not playing for 8 years may have been a factor. I used to use Gosen rackets but can't seem to find them anywhere in UK anymore. I don't find the DG 7 terribly head heavy to be honest and the shaft has got a bit more flex to it than I'd ideally like. This seems a bit in contrast to how they're advertised, I felt myself generating lots of racket speed with little translation to power like I was swinging through the shuttle too fast / early (lots of frame hits) as I'm used to even head heavier rackets. I might try the DG 10 to compare because it's now priced slightly less than the DG 7 at Central Sports and it's meant to be more head heavy / stiffer frame. Would be useful to hear from someone who has used both. If there's not much to choose between DG 7 and DG 10 I'll just stick with the 7s and get used to them in time.
8 years without playing is a lot. I've done the same and it takes time to find back the right technique. Give it some time, I don't think it is related to the racquet.
have you been able to write up your 7dg review? can't seem to find it on your site Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Please be patient. I've had so much on my plate. Finalising the text at the moment for 7 and 10. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
thanks for the write up paul. it's good to know that the 7dg is def no slouch. i got a vt7neo 4u for exactly the same price for reasons of slimmer shaft and 4u weight to compensate for head heaviness in defense. i'd like to think i got more bang for the buck with that decision Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In some ways 10DG is a cheaper ZFII. It lacks the refinement of a ZFII. The thicker shaft makes a difference to the playability. It's still a good racket but feels a tough sluggish compared to a much more expensive version. But, the price is amazing. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
I haven't seen any review of this yet by paul Don't get disappointed thevileking, you should make the judgement yourself on the racket's performance if it would suit you or not. Time and again paul would stress that his reviews are kind of subjective and his opinions on a racket's performance is his own and could be different from others.
