I sense that both LD and LCW are reluctant to play this tournament, blame the draw - the prospects of meeting each other in R2 and then awaiting them would be Chen Long next is off-putting, to say the least.

Just now, in the LCW - Boonsak clash, for a moment I thought LCW was going to crash out in R1 but somehow he pulled himself up in the end. Now I'm not so sure about Lin Dan's ongoing match.

 

Son Wan Ho 8, Lin Dan 2. Can Lin Dan win it? Looks like Lin Dan glorious days are over. Imagine a player who always lose in the first round of the tournament can even win over Lin Dan now.

 

There was time when LD used to play fancy trick shots against SON WAN HO...now,he is getting destroyed.
