Korea really needs to train for categories other than WD. They're so good at WD but suck at pretty much every other category.

Quite honestly, this could be similar as in in Tennis, where an overhyped "next gen" of inflated egos (Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas, you know who it is in Badminton) gets overtaken by a less hyped, more talentend younger group with a lot better personalities (Sinner, Alcaraz, FAA), before they can win more than a handful of important tournaments. I'm all here for it. :D
Your observation was two fold. I will just pen my thoughts on one part of it. 6 months ago, I would have outright disagreed with you on the “hyped” part for our next-gen superstars. However seeing how JC, LZJ, ASG, (AA considering today) have struggled against LS/KV/LSF recently, I’m inclined to agree to that part your observation. The data is still sparse. Let’s see how the MS field will look in a year from now

PS- hey, I like Medvedev. He happens to be the the one and only top 5 player I could watch in action from a stadium

I like Medvedev most of the three as well, but he also has complete mental breakdowns unlike anything we have ever seen on a badminton court. He was also once defaulted for racism at a tournament and I don't think that is a trifle. From a sporting point of view: the way he lost against Nadal - who's ten years his senior and way, way past his physical prime - after being two sets up was beyond belief.

In regards to badminton, I totally agree with you: the data is still sparse. KV has just lost two straight games against Christie.

yeaaaa this how you play with a drfit - just pure attack and no crappy lifts into out :) JC was very good today, congrats!
