I think centre court appearances are very merit-based in badminton. Marcus Ellis, for example is on court #1 twice today. He obviously deserves it for being a) male and b) English. Millions of badminton players aren't even one of these things, he is both. It's only natural he's the centre of attention.

    Is that sarcasm?
Indonesia Open puts a lot of local players on TV court.
China Open is the same, Malaysian Open is the same.
Japan Open also puts local player on TV court.
    I don't get the problem.

As expected Mia B runs away with G1 let's just hope she doesn't go out of steam as always and clinch it. It's the best draw she can ask for

I'm surprised Zhang Nan is back with Li Yinhui after their split and that he's the only male CHN doubles player doing double duty here besides Li Yinhui who also plays WD with Du Yue.

Anyway, it's good to see Li Yinhui taking more initiative, going for it when she thought she's in the best position to play the shot instead of often playing it safe and leaving it to her famous partner who'd be forced to run all over the court and sometimes having to execute the second best shot in the position he's in.

Still I don't understand the rationale of re-forming this partnership. Unless it is to mentor LYH to improve her game all-round for her WD partnership with another youngster, Du Yue.
