She's a Women's doubles' player... Her name is Jin Peilei, and they've been bf-gf for about 9 years already!

Congratz to Xia and Jin ~

Thanks for the pic Pauline. Wonder whether Xia will play mixed with Jin Bei Lei, just like Sun Jun and Ge Fei.

One question regarding to the original article. I thought Xia is from "Xiamen", while Jin is from "Hangzhou". How could they been selected into the same providence team?

well they always say singles requires more stamina and tactics/patience.....

does it depend on where you were born? or where you make your home? or even parents?

Where is Xia xuanze's career heading?

After Xia Xuanze had a bad 2004 season due to injury and consequently, didn't go to the Olympics, I haven't heard much about him. First, I heard that he wanted to retire and become a coach on the national team. Then, I heard reports that he was moving to Germany in 2005 before he decided not to go. Then, he made this year's Thomas Cup team despite getting to 1/32 or 1/16 in major tournaments. The last I heard, he was getting married.

Does anyone have information on Xia's next career move, since he hasn't been covered by the media lately.

It would be sad if he decided to retire. After all, Peter Gade and Kenneth are all older than him, yet are getting into semis and finals. Maybe Xia could get some good results if he stays injury free and just stay on the national team for a little longer.

Maybe his marriage is one of the main reasons that he changed his future plan (i.e. playing in GR)?

Xuanze did mention that, in China there's a lot of youngster coming up.
He said:" Chen Jin is there already, what for I still stay here? But you see Denmark, if Peter and Kenneth retire, there's no young player can replace them."
