The last time that I read it was that they set some pod with the device on it and the devices sends out frequency or waves that catches the speed of the shuttle at it's highest point. I think the max that they can record is up 350 km. It would becrazy if Fu can hit that mark or beat.
Oh boy, I read Fu Hai-Feng holds the record of 332 km/h !!! He could be a subject of stufy....amazing power !!!
It's never the speed of a singles player's smash that impresses me (they have the speed too), but the timing and precision. Perfect smashes in singles games, from my point of view, are not necessarily the hardest, but those executed: (1) at the best time: smash is used smartly. (2) with the precision: dive for it, please. (3) with the deception: your opponent can't tell what shot you'll play and has to guard all possible shots: clear to two rear corners, dropshot to two front corners, smash to both sides and onto the body. With all those above, singles players can smash above 300 km/h is far more difficult. For doubles players, you just jump, and smash as hard as you can. Different requirement for a good smash. However, a backhand smash at some 260 km/hr was recorded in this WC from Taufik. Try your very best to imagine that!
The problem is I can't download a complete match of theirs so I had to ask for help if you all have their figures, then just show it out here instead of having to download their respective matches to compare.
I vote for LIN DAN have the FASTEST smash in WC.....So powerful even i can't see the shuttlecock.....So incredible!!!!!
