Maybe I can help up a little bit.

I had been to Barcelona and Madrid and both are nice places to step foot in during Christmas 2005. Even though it was December at that time, the weather was around 12 - 15 degrees. A jacket shall be enough.

Barcelona has a very beautiful beach and a awesome building called Sagrada. Personally, I think Barcelona is more interesting than Madrid.

As for accomodation, you can book it when you are there. Drop by at the tourist information center and ask for one. Normally, you'll get a very decent price. Last time, I got a nice hotel in the city center for just 20 euro per night. Worse comes to worse, you can also you Youth Hostel.

Travelling in Spain is easy with the help of underground tube. However, language might be a problem. Spanish dont speak English.

    Spain is worth the visit!!!:)

    1. Convencion Hotel ( Twin Sharing €135 ) , Single €118
    2. Fiesta Colon Hotel ( Twin Sharing €130 ) , Single €110

    Book early if your interested.

I'm thinking of going for at least some of it provided I can get a cheap flight (sometimes Ryanair do cheap flights from England to certain places within the EU for between £1 - £10 :D :D ).

Is ayone going to take their rackets? If so, how about playing a game if we can find some courts?

ryanair? don't think they fly to madrid do they? try air berlin. they do economic prices!

back to the declarations - i declare i will NOT be going to the WC. too expensive laaa. tickets + accom + flights + this + that = excess of 500 euros (for a few days)! :O will save the money for sitges and gran canaria instead.

will just have to look forward to AE07. anyone know when the next MO or TO?

You're right, I just assumed Ryanair would fly to Madrid. You can get a return ticket with Easyjet for £50 though. I just need to find some cheap hotels now!

    BC = badminton central

I spend around 70 pounds for flight, flying from Luton. It depends on which date you leave and which date you want to come back.

For accomo, I am on budget, so go for hostel. Around 13 pounds per night.

    Will be there

    I will be there

And I guess I´ll have to be there from the start to be able to catch my swedish fellows in action before they get sent back home by their opponents (which I am afraid most likely will happen at the early rounds :crying: ).. But hey, We have our great great Danish boys and girls to root for at the later stages :). So I´ll happilly wave my neigbours red and white flag in Spain :)

    Cheers,
    Twobeer
