It's not a matter of making fun but the new reality of de-valuing of tournaments. Fans will have to adjust their expectations of the level of competition of SS and even SSF. With ever poorer participations in tournaments, badminton is risking a decrease in interest long before it gains enough interest from sports fans. Instead of wasting money on Hawk-eye, BWF should find ways to make the players/teams comfortable in attending tournaments. Things like high quality accommodation and training facilities for the teams may help to take care of the players' needs and help them staying on the road longer to attend more tournaments.
The reality, not many players can play 3 tpurnamentsbin a row...ticket fare from England to Sydney, minimum $2200 to $2800 per player..even China team will split 2, those to Japan, INA then some leave for Australia..5 MS, 5 WS, 5 WD, 5 MD and 4 XD from china will be in INA PSS.
Most of accommodation for SS or PSS are first class...close to malls,..some are far away like Guangzhou accommodation was not comfortable, especially it was dedicated to foreign players only, local players stay close to malls and stadium..
Because of Asian games, all schedules are a bit screwed up..next year Sea Games in between INA premier and Thai Open...
