I got a pair of ASICS today
what I was looking for:
a stable, firm sole base, with lots of cushioning.
Then I do the twist-test. If I can 'twist' the shoes, the base wont be stable enough for me.
This is especially important after forward shots where my feet needed to 'push-back'.
Then I do the forward-bending test. If the shoes are not too stiff, able to half-bend forward, it will be good for me.
The in-step preferrably has more protection against hind foot-dragging due to forward lunges.
Preferrably light-weight
Then I found it - The ASICS Gel Game 5
Yes, it may be marketed as a tennis shoes, but this is close to what I am looking for
Plus the upper layer has mesh to make it lighter and 'breathable'
