Peter and gang arrived safe. after waking up at 4am for a 7am flight, they arrived at SFO. their first destination was to go check out GGBC. afterwards, they went sightseeing in Stanford University and then went for their 1st session in GGBC in the evening. battling lack of sleep we played like old men in slow motion. but all was good as we managed to play 2.5 hours non-stop. tomorrow they are heading down to Santa Cruz to do some footwork training at the beach... here are a couple of shots i took...
Hahahahhah... Now, the VRCers got a taste of what me and frendies used to suffer through. Only 2.5 hrs??? Kwun, your guys are too nice to them. Put up a 7 hrs marathon for them...
lacking some man-power here... they have a army of torturers over there, while here it is only me! besides, we played till the gym closes. already the best that i could do!
Glad to see that the gang arrived there alright! I believe the torture session is just beginning for them.
Yeah, all these "young" guys have nothing better to do, don't they? Man, I need my vacation... :crying:
Lack of man power??? If master Kwun sent out a message, I am sure the Bay area gangs going to pack the gym in no time.
This is the 1st time I have a clear look at GGBC's facility. Overall it looked nice, but light right above the court??? Why not just on the side? Isn't that bother some?
Put some enforcement. Even they cramped to the ground, screaming and crying, drag and pull them onto the court. At least, they did that to me when I was in VRC. j/k...
Sorry I couldn't make it on Monday. Was kinda busy. Is anyone going to GGBC tonite? Pete, kwun? Tuesday nite is suppose to be a crowded night and lots of good games to play and to watch. I'll be there.
Now I am very surprised at that considering what I went through when visiting SF. Those pics look much better than from your D70.
i am still trying to fine tune the exposure. i think it can be lowered 1/2 stop or so. the gym is really dark, as a result, most of the shots are around 1/120s resulting in a fair amount of motion blur. unfortunately, i am already down to f/1.6 and ISO1600 on some of the shots. i am not sure what else can be done if at all. the D200 can go up to ISO3200 but noise looks horrible up there. maybe interesting to experiment though.
You have to understand that I was accompanied by two die-hard SF tourists. They wanted to get the last penny out of sightseeing instead of badding . Here is a photo of us at Winchester Mystery House with Mr. Mystery in the background. The second photo shows the tour guide explaining the wine making process.
Pete, You and Viper2005 need to wipe down the faces before picture taking. Too shiny and I needed my shades
