    At one moment, looks like Brazil will win this easily but as the match go on, Russia showed their true color and spirit....

    That's because Amazonian quality is exclusive to the Brazilian women only. Not the men.Though I would have thought some of the Amazonain spirit should have rubbed on to jaque's husband, 'cos he played in the men's team.But well done Russia - a very astute tactical defensive change in game three, and Brazil men couldn't recover from the narrow loss.

    USA would have felt it the most in this tournament - they were good for 2, maybe 3 golds but ended up with just one.Japanese girls, I suppose would be the happiest team, consolidating their position in 3rd after having finished 3rd in the FIVB Women's World Championships in 2010. Thanks to the brilliance of the setter Takeshita, libero Sano (both of whom the most senior in the team), and of course, the marvellous twin Saoris (Kimura and Sakoda).
