Kevin was moving to the net and stood there (waiting for the drop shot) and just like he had anticipated, Rian hit a dropshot to where Kevin was standing.
 
Rallies are getting better and longer. No mercy showed by both pairs when they killed the shuttles.

3. Momota
4. Minions
5. WS is the one I couldn't predict. Anyway, my bet is on Marin

If the main concern of pbsi is tokyo 2020, then they should let Fajar/Rian to win the China Open

If fajar/ Rian wins China Open, then their ranking point will increase, and their ranking goes up.
If INA has 3 or 4 MD pairs in the top 8, it will be more difficult for other countries like China, Japan or Korea to send 2 MD pairs to Tokyo.
Kevin / Marcus's victory over Fajar / Rian is a proof that there was no team order in that match.

Moreover, they already know that the opponents in the final are also INA pair, so there is no reason to save energy. it is different if it is li / liu who will play in the final, then it is natural to suspect that the match is carried out as short as possible to save energy.

Fajar/Rian not interested in Tokyo 2020? So they can just play an exhibition match, no need to "put in their best efforts" according to BWF rules?

I still fail to understand why Fajar/Rian wouldn't go all out to beat Kevin/Marcus for a place in the final when waiting for them is another INA pair? Nothing to lose, right? Everything to gain, correct? - ranking points, prize money, accolade, pride, internal rivalry, what have you.

I mean, all the more reason for INA vs INA pair to fight it out, no holds barred, no savin of energy and whatnot, knowing waiting in the final is another INA pair, right?
