LCW is the exception, a rare phenomenon - Lin Dan is no LCW past 30/31, no comparison, admittedly. No great motivation, no hunger, no fitness and stamina, no singleness of purpose, frequent off-court activities and distractions, and so on and s forth.

Even Chen Long is so-so, I feel like saying hopeless, the way he struggled to beat his compatriot, Huang Yuxiang.

And don't expect much from Shi Yuqi, we are aware of how reliable he can be, lately.

Wow Fajar/Rian won against number 3 seed.
Good for them after Asian Games silver medal. Confirmation that it wasnt luck and that they should belong in the top rankings.

Not a chance. They will lose in R1, as always..

I wonder why PBSI keeps sending this pair to big tourneys like this.. What a waste of money.

like I said, there's nothing wrong with them physically in that japan open final, but there's mentally...they didn't believe they can beat minions, too scared...too nervous...especially li junhui.
