The draw for men's single at Japan open is so unbalanced. The top half has five Chinese players including the current unbeatable top seed super Dan (not Dane) while the bottom half has only one Chinese. 5 to 1 !

Another unreasonable weird thing is that there are 16 players in the main draw will receive the 1st round bye while more than 30 players have to fight in the qualification round. More ironically is that some qualifiers, such as qualifier 1, qualifier 8,..., need to beat the other 3 competitors to enter the main draw, and then automatically advance to the 2nd round. What's the logic here? Why not fill the 16 voids in the first round, and reduce the qual fighters number to 16 from 32?

Now then we may see again a lot of China players meeting in early rounds and playing at half pace so as not to get injured unnecessarily or get exhausted in next round.
you think professional players dont need to look after their own well being in terms of physical health and their pockets in their short 5 year careers.

Its a professional sport not like the 80s amateur days.

I'm just commenting on comments about engineering tournaments to prevent"cheating" etc.
