Mayu was absolutely awful. Could not defend could not attack, mistakes after mistakes. That was embarassing...

Misaki who has not played for nearly two years looked much better than her...

Should be, just like all the other teams who have people accompanying them.

I heard the Chinese commentator says He Bingjiao is the drummer.

The only reason they even scored that much point is thanks to Misaki. Mayu will get an earful from the coach, just shown again how bad she is when playing against anyone else than Fukushima and Hirota.

Due to different corporates, I believe it's difficult to find a new partner in WD for Misaki. The only possible one I can think of is Arisa Higashino, but I fear it will happen.
But after focusing in XD (with Kaneko and aims for Paris 2024), her net play is getting better and better.

Mayu hardly did any counterattacking and not enough variation.

What makes it even more remarkable is that Team China came here without some of their stalwarts, such as Chen Long, MD Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen, XD Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong, even WD Du Yue/Li Yinhui, so that they could switch their top players/pairs around when needed without having to overstretch any particular player/pair or for strategic reasons to deal with or counter their opposing teams lineups.

Frankly, Team China perform beater than I expected, despite two close encounters, one against THA, the other against DEN.

For me, the hero for China's title victory today is Shi Yuqi. Excellent play. Great job, SYQ !

She was amazing ! You could see how much it meant to her, so determined. Retrieving so much but also taking her chances to attack whenever she could

The moment Momota lost, it became 90-10 win chance for China to be honest, the rest of the line-up was not in Japan's favor at all.

It will sure be a tough loss to swallow for him, he looked completely helpless in that third game, almost scared to play proactively. Shi Yuqi was the total opposite, 100% attack and proactive, taking every little chance to score winners.

Momota would have probably lost something like 21-10 21-13 against Axelsen, that's where he stands right now in my opinion. He does look much better than in the Olympics though so that's positive !

I think they need Arisa rested to even stand a chance against China XD.

Yuki however would have been a better choice than Mayu for sure

I think He Binjiao is catholic, so she can be a drummer in the church.

China is the biggest rival of Japan team, but I don't know why I like He Binjiao the most.

Chen Yufei, Chen Long and Shi Yuqi also. They are so humble on court.
