Lol, Lin Dan seems the least bit upset about it all. Gossiping with Xia.
On the other hand I'm happy that axelsen won. He deserved it after that SF
Alas, an 11 year age gap is too big even for the legend himself. Congrats to VA! Even I felt emotional watching his family's response.
Natsir is playing. I thought she has retired already!
I think Son Wan Ho might have a better chance against Viktor Axelsen today, but VA would still win it , say, in a three-setter
Lin Dan will always be the greatest of all time. But no one can cheat age. Nobody can cheat time.
Congratulation Viktor. Congratulation Denmark for making it the third time. 1977,1997, 2017.
He's won the WC 5 times already. No 6 is nice but after you win 5, I think no 6 doesn't mean as much as it does anymore. LD is playing on house money right now. If he had retired after 2012, he would still be considered the greatest badminton player of all time.
Hoyer crowning Viktor..
wow!!! what a moment..
Amazing! VA has finally come of age, so happy for him!
Huh, a 7th WC medal for Lin Dan, not 6th ?
I forgot Lin Dan has a silver in Anaheim 2005
So this is the end of an era..
5 Golds , 2 Silvers, for Lin Dan at the World Championships, plus 2 Olympic Golds.
good to have a new World Champion in MS
I'm tired of LD/CL chronicles for a long while
But it's not easy for me after witnessing LD's defeat in a final, just too hard to take
Peter gade won it before?
Played in 17 World Championships??
Iirc LD has won almost (if not all) the titles in badminton, mutilplemtimes for the big tournaments too...
no, Peter Rasmussen in 1997
Fully agree, well said.
Still emotionally drained after that WS match xD
