Is LCW injured ? CL played superbly and why LCW played total defence game which is not his style of play ? CL returned few smashes of LCW in the first set. But that doesn't mean that you need to totally follow a different style of game ( that too in the WC finals ) even when you are start losing... The reason I am assuming is this because LCW always jumped for a smash but made a drop close to the net. Most of the points had been lost due to this as LCW was not successful in executing this shot. Further, he asked the coach for guidance for every point especially in the 2nd set which generally not LCW's style

Pretty sure LCW was fine, he started the game well but then CL had all the answers as he settled into the match.
In an interview, Lee Chong Wei said he was outpaced by Chen Long. He was forced to be passive and played catch up. That's likely the reason he has lost. I think he has reached physical limits and will be unlikely to win any more majors with Chen Long participating.
Well,his a-s-s whooping style will work like a charm for all the players in the world except 3 till he retires.No need to put any blame on him and asking questions why he didn't do this or that.Just enjoy his game untill he plays without expecting much.
Even if the players start losing, they won't change their style of play to a total different style. Constructing a rally and then attacking is not LCW's style of play. Even in this case, LCW din't attack as he had the opportunity so many times.
If he plays like this, nobody will enjoy his game. People enjoy LCW's lethal smashes and how CL or LD returns those smashes will be a delight to watch rather than like today's play. Even LD changed his style of game shows poor results for him. If LD start smashing like the way he used to do , it would be a delight to watch.
Okay the match is finally over. So glued to the screen that I was not able to give comments. Once again Chen Long defended his MS gold. Though I was sad that my favorite player Lee Chong Wei had lost, I also learn to accept the fact that it is not so easy to play so well especially when age is catching up. It is not his style. He couldn't play the style he wanted too so sad. Chen Long had all the answer. Sad to say it but this is the fact. Then for the WD match the China WD won the match convincingly. This player Zhao Yunlei is extremely good with lots of stamina to play hence she was able to win 2 gold medals today. Congratulations. For the MD event, the Indonesian players played so well today and won the gold medals today. On the other hand China MD has really improved a lot and get to enter finals this year after a long wait.
Chen Long is a very good player. But at the same time, LCW and LD not in their top form making to look CL a lot better. If LCW and LD in top form, then it would be a delight to watch these top 3. If LCW and LD goes like this, Rio 2016 gold is reserved for CL.
Yes I felt sad at the beginning after Lee Chong Wei lost disappeared a while but how I am back. I am okay now. Age is catching up for Lee Chong Wei.
