What a match. China's Thomas Cup team did well to redeem themselves.

I believe this is Lin Dan's last and final Thomas Cup appearance, too bad we don't get to see him perform today.

Anyway kudos to Liu/Lu, they somehow kept their nerves in the end!
    Also in the second set.
My predictions was right... My hopes not full filled.
Anyway ms 1 was a masterclass by km and this Md 2 was sooo exciting with great, great rallies.

    Congrats to China.
However it feels wrong Lin Dan didn't secured it

In a way, its good that LD never need to play.

They need someone younger. LD and CL should have stepped down anyway.

For me, Shi Yuqi and Zhang Nan deserve the most credit for this Thomas Cup victory

Congratulations China! Well played Japan, terrific fighting spirit!

China-Japan rivalry is a feast for badminton fans, adds to the tension and match pressure. :)

Without having his service needed in the last three ties. But he surely is happy and proud of his juniors.

did i not tell you to be objective?
only momota came through for japan.
result tells you that chinese weren't slightly better, but japanese had a lot to catch up, there is a glaring gap in their bench strength in MS and MD.
    can't win alone with momota

In this major championship, Shi Yuqi showed masterclass, so too Kento Momota.

If, as it seems, Shi Yuqi has achieved self-mastery, we may well see him ascend the summit soon.

Lots of work to do for the ladies side. WS is a mess, both mentally and physically, their WD is unstable and no longer dominating. Hopefully we will see some improvements from them.

IMHO the tame loss of 2nd singles 1st game by KN was quite crucial. He really didn't put up an intelligent game to put psychological pressure on China.
