I agree...has anyone ever heard of endo? he's ranked 226...
simon and boonsak will be a close match...but yeah, the advantage is probably on boonsak.

My feeling is that Andre is most probably exhausted , both physically and more importantly mentally, from playing in the INA League, losing to a lower ranked player, after having beaten higher ranked players consistently over the last few months...

i don't think you're giving PTS enough credit here.
he's been performing very consistently the last couple of tournaments, which is why i'm not surprised to see him do well.
in fact, i backed him to beat andre in my Pick-A-Winner game, bit of a gamble perhaps but i've got confidence in him.

Just checked the result for this tournament a while ago from tournamentsoftware, and found out that all China team members have won their perspective matches and advanced to the next round. (note: There is no China flag appearing on the right side of the screen which represents the losing side).

Yes, I was quite surprised to see this result. Perhaps Petya was worn out from playing in the Superliga.

After Cheng won the World Juniors in 2004, she climbed steadily and then hit the wall in a big way. Only in the last little while has she been able to show her true talent. Being a small girl, I think she was losing out physically. Also Anita Kaur is from MAS :)
