Bad news for INA MS as Tommy Sugiarto (the second-seed) lost early to Thammasin Sitthikom. Sigh....

So, Pelatnas only has 2 representatives in R32: Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka [4] and Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo. Meanwhile, ex-Pelatnas players like Evert Sukamta, Andre Marteen Tene, Siswanto, and PB Djarum's Andre Kurniawan Tedjono [16] cleared the first-round.

In XD, Riky Widianto/Richi Puspita Dili [4] also cleared a tricky first-round hurdle in 3-sets.

    MS R32
Siswanto vs Ashton Chen Yong Zhao - Ashton Chen to advance.

Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka [4] vs Sai Praneeth B. - another tough time for Hayom and I will again not be surprised if he blew this.

Wan Chia Hsin vs Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo - I am hoping Wisnu can progress.

Evert Sukamta vs Hsueh Hsuan Yi - the TPE player to advance.

Andre Marteen Tene vs Tan Chun Seang [9] - it will be a small upset if Andre Marteen can beat the MAS independent player.

Derek Wong Zi Liang vs Andre Kurniawan Tedjono [16] - Andre is expected to fulfill his seeding.

First upset in XD....as Edi Subaktiar/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja beat the sixth-seed Chris Adcock/Gabby White 21-19, 21-19! They have certainly stamped their credentials in the senior tourney with this victory, after having won the WJC title in XD in 2012 and 2011 respectively. Good job Edi/Gloria!

Looking forward for the first round of INA open where Irfan/Weny will meet CX/MJ, the top seed.

I thought they got bad draw where they have to meet back to back top seed in Thailand and Indonesia

This is true. The back-up pairs should gain these experience which will help them to mature into a top pair (hopefully).

Hayom survived the second-set and is now leading in the third-set.
