Anybody have any idea of potential places this tourney might be held?

yeah, hope for an even bigger miracle, it is held in Toronto and sells out the Toronto SkyDome, that would be wicked (the top players playing in front of 60,000 fans), lol

You could petition the Canadian badminton association to put in a bid for it:)
They did once before in 1985 with the WC. Why in Calgary and not a more densely populated area, I don't really know. (OK, so the training centre is in Calgary but that's no great reason)

I heard Japan was bidding on it..although not a great idea for Japan to hold the TC/UC because of the high costs to travel, stay and eat for the countries without much financial backing.

I hope its held in America..IMO with enough marketing and exposure many many months prior to the competition date, im sure we can get enough spectators.

Japan also hosted in 1990. Yeah, I agree, high cost.

If you look at the trend, almost all WC/SC are held in a non-Asian country (usually Europe) and TC/UC in Asia (last TC/UC in Europe was 1982! (London))

For marketing, TC/UC is better known in Asia, WC has more appeal to non-badminton players, hence more exposure to the non-Asian countries...well, perhaps one of many points.

    In Asia is more appropriate

The best region to host TC is still in Asia as the popularity is high but should avoid Indonesia as host as hostility arises if the host doesn't win it all! Forget about US, we don't have the capability to host this major event and we don't have enough fan base on this sport, in my opinion.
