so LCW just justified TH's excuse for losing?.. the shuttle was slow the other day when taufik lost, the following day it was fast, as CW said... tha's what's friends are for...
I think Taufik always has trouble with small and agile opponents when he is not trying to play his best -- which he usually is in earlier rounds. It seems he never really prepares for early round opponents, and just tries to find out a winning strategy during the match. And when the opponent is very agile and can return all his shots no matter how good the placements are, he is in trouble. Remember how Taufik in 05 almost lost to Boonsak?
No Sarwendah, no Rosi, no Ratih... Too few participants in the Veteran WD... They organizers decided not to play that category. Bobby Ertanto-Heryanto were seeded 1st, Iie Sumirat-[Major General] Sabar Yudo was seeded 2nd. I also saw Hermawan Susanto, Hastomo Arbi, Eddy Hartono, Eddy Kurniawan competing... I heard they want to play in KL for the Senior's World Championship soon... Want to beat old opponents... One day, Taufik, Sony, Simon, and Andre will play in these tournaments... Ha ha ha...
Good to see the veterans still active, had a lot of respect for their talents .... Anyway, when it comes to players like Tien Minh, Boonsak, Tago, Wacha even, I think that had they been playing in countries that take badminton really seriously, they would be even better players than they are now. Who knows, Tien Minh could have been another Taufik/LCW had he been born Indonesian or Malaysian. Definitely talent and great coaching is already there, but without top quality sparring, it's really hard to develop your game to the fullest. Probably the reason why CHN can maintain it's consistency in almost all disciplines.
But,I'm curious...is it true about the news that Taufiq have a son before? if it is true, probably his emotion r disturbed because of that....
He he he... Eerrr.... there was a woman who claimed that her son was Taufik's... but we don't talk about that anymore in Jakarta... Taufik's father in law, the General Agum Gumelar, made sure the rumors 'dissapear'... [just kidding]
Krisna, You went to Tegal and watched Sinar Mutiara Cup tournament. Can you post the results of this tournament ? I only had the news that Budi Santoso (Mutiara) and Rosaria Pungkasari (Djarum) won in MS & WS Open Category Budi beat Sartono Eko Pranoto (Djarum), Nugroho (Djarum) and Achmad Rivai (Ratih) in Final Rosaria beat Ranny Christina Sanusi (Djarum)
I already left Tegal when the finals happened, but my friend who was still there told me: WS: Rosaria "Pipin" Pungkasari [Djarum] defeated Rhanny Sanusi [Djarum] GS Taruna: Lindaweni [Ragunan] defeated Jenna Gozali [Djarum] GS Remaja: Rischa [Djarum] defeated Gabby [I think Jaya Raya]... I pay more attention to the Women's game... He he he... MS: ...I am not sure whether Budi won the final... But in the semis Ahmad Rivai defeated Nugroho Andi Saputro [a.k.a. Gepeng], and... maybe Budi won over Sartono Eko [a.k.a. Kiki]
Thank's for the info Gabby from Ragunan Budi def Kiki in Quarter Final, so in SF Budi beat "Bon Jovi" still blind of BS U-19 and U-16 results
