It doesn't sound like a sprain really. With a sprain it's usually over stretching the ligament that causes damage (like I rolled my foot outwards and onto its side and damaged the ligaments that way). It sounds suspicious though, I've heard of other people having unidentified hairline fractures in bone from stress/pressure. Maybe you should go to a doctor. Salcin Badminton shoes have really good grip, they're lower to the ground, and are thicker in certain areas (material-wise) such as on the sections where you'll drag your feet for lunges. In other news, my ankle sprain isn't given me any trouble now - no pain, swelling, or movement limitation. I still wear a support because I'm absolutely terrified at the thought of doing it a third time.
Yeah I'd definitely recommend it. With regards to the blisters, I don't think running shoes are more likely to give you blisters. I think it's just an ill fitting shoe. Yonex and Asics are often a favourite among people.
Try wearing 2 pair of socks. I started doing this about 10 years ago, and I haven't had a blister since.
Bought Yonex shoes after nearly spraining my ankle. My ankles feel a lot better now! Also, double socks help a lot. Thanks )
I had an ankle sprian during my semifinal match of zonal level.. I jumped for a smash but my landing was poor , thats where i twisted my right ankle. Trust me it was so terreble the i fell down and couldent walk . There was medic attention which adviced me to widrawl from tournament. Well after getting to home the doc suggested an MRI scan where the reports were poor and so the Dr suggested for a ligament surgery...as there was not any fracture... But the ligaments had a serious damage. Its 8 months and i still cant even run. And i hope every one knows that A fracture could be recovered but a ligament damage cant be healed it can only be healed ut to 80% or 90% depending upon ur care... Strict advice was to keep leg in elevation . And icing in every 3 hrs to reduce swelling..
