Does anybody know how fast the head of the racquet is travelling at time of impact? I've seen numbers for the speed of the shuttle when it is leaving the racquet, but nothing about the racquet. Given the physics of the shuttlecock compared to those of a tennis ball, the badminton racquet must be travelling much faster than the tennis one, but I've never seen that comparison.

    Thanks,

I think in tennis, the physics say that the ball can at best travel ~1.5 x the speed of the racquet head. So 150mph serves need at least 100mph racquet speed.

I expect badminton head speeds to exceed 100mph.
As a guess, maybe up to 150mph.

I hope in the next test in recording the shuttle speed is to record the racket speed.
