yuckeeeeeeeeeeee! it never happened to me but nevertheless, i spray lysol (disinfectant) after using the racket and let it dry before putting it back in my bag. i also use it on my shoes. not that i have smelly shoes. just don't want my bag to smell horrible either. people at the court see me do that and i explain it to them. i've been using my yonex innotec grip for months now and the smell isn't annoying. hope this helps.

Guys, what should I do if the original grip started smelling(I stopped putting overgrips a while ago when I realized it was better for me) but I wanna keep the thiness of the original? Should I take out the original one and put an overgrip on the wood?

1.) do some cleaning on the original grip. sanitizer, etc. anything that can kill bacteria and odour.

2.) change the original grip and replace it with another original grip.

3.) change the original grip and replace it with an overgrap.

if the racket is really expensive (ie. mp 100, 99, at 700), i would go for the 1st one, and then the second, and last third.

Remove the grip, wipe it with alcohol and put it under the sun for a while. That's what my brother did anyway. Don't know whether it works though.
