Much thanks.. ...Tianfook, appreciate again for all the pics and for sharing them-a lot of variety!! Mind sharing with us what camera, lens(es) and settings were you using, for those indoor and outdoor shots??..thx! Btw, if you haven't visited BC's Badminton Photography sub-forum, please have a visit, if you have a chance..
He is jealous that Gade has six pack... as shown in the pictures. Seriously, that is such a killer-instict look on Chen Yu's face... keep that face on for tomorrow's final, and Boonsak won't stand a chance.
I'm using a Canon 30D camera with cheapo kit lens and EF90-300 f4.5-5.6 lens. Can only dream of owning 70-200 f2.8 lens I shot with very high ISO, 1600 and 3200. Therefore the pictures are only okay if viewed at less than 1024x768 resolution. The actual camera setting can be viewed from the EXIF information embeded in each of the jpeg file. Went thru some of the thread at the Badminton photography forum. Wow, lots of useful information! Thanks.. Hopefully we will see more pictures from other open touraments. Let's hope for an exciting final.
No wonder you didn't manage to get some of the action shots. Maybe you can consider a Sigma 70-200 2.8 HSM lens. Hunt around the 2nd hand stores for one or go through some internet sites. I just saw one in HK yesterday for 4600HK. You have a good camera. Try to match it with some fast lenses. I know it's probably difficult but worth the effort. You'd get a lot more satisfaction out of the photos.
