Looking the names who selected on Seleknas 2009, I didn't believe on PBSI.
Seleknas this year looked not better.

I don't blame to Mr. Djoko Susanto as Head of PBSI, he is choosed by most of badminton people, especially 7 biggest club in Indonesia.

The problems on PBSI is too much non technical official influenced to technical section.
It happenned since a long ago and caused some talented players missed to hired into Pelatnas. I just hope the chief can stop it and he can hear the input from the right person.

The number of player in Pelatnas should be slim.
Pelatnas utama placed by around 4-6 player/pair in every discipline.
Pelatnas Utama placed by junior player (real junior players U-19) around 3-4 player/pair in every discipline.

I have imagine the Pelatnas should be fielded like it :

Pak Djoko asks for a maximum of 70 athletes... what you listed above makes a lot of sense... ;)

Maybe Jenna can be paired with Richi in WD

So do with Irfan/Weni in XD.
I think they will be on "waiting list on sending" if stay in Pelatnas, they better to find the sponsor and want help to CBN Batam (or PBSI should assist them) to fund them in International Event. The other alternative is apply to join PB. Djarum :)

Dian and Elisabeth feel very hard after the result.
They feel that the result was not fair as they are topping the seleknas.
From what I heard, Elisabeth lost from Yulia in AJC not because Yulia was better. She didn't have any motivation anymore after she heard the result of seleknas :(

Another news-article from the Jakarta Post...

    Newcomers arrive at national camp

Agnes Winarti , The Jakarta Post , Jakarta | Thu, 03/25/2010 11:19 AM | Sports

The Badminton Association of Indonesian (PBSI) has promoted 11 junior shuttlers to join the main team at the national badminton training camp in Cipayung, East Jakarta, while welcoming 12 others into the national junior squad.

“The camp now has 80 national shuttlers in both the main and junior teams. Previously, we had 77 shuttlers, 39 junior and 38 senior shuttlers,” PBSI secretary-general yacob Rusdianto said Wednesday.

Most of the newcomers to the main team will be playing in the men’s doubles and the mixed doubles — disciplines regarded as the country’s main strength in international competitions.

The men’s doubles field includes Yohanes Rendy Sugiarto, Angga Pratama, Rian Agung, Andika Anhar and Hendra Setyo Nugroho, while the mixed doubles players are Rizki Delinugraha, Irfan Fadillah and Wenny Anggraeni.

Men’s singles Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka and women’s singles Maria Febe Kusumastuti have earlier automatically joint the national camp, without undergoing a national selection process, due to their prominent performances.

Women’s doubles pair Della Destiara Haris and Suci Rizki Andini, who are competing at the ongoing Asia Youth Under-19 Championship in Malaysia, as well as men’s singles Adi Pratama are also part of the newly promoted contingent.

Yohanes and Angga won the men’s doubles at the Asia Youth Under-19 Championship in 2007.

Meanwhile, Djarum Club’s men’s doubles Muh. Ulinnuha and Berry Angriawan, who last year clinched runner-up spot at the World Junior Championship in Malaysia, were selected to join the national junior squad along with 10 others.

Central Java’s prominent Djarum Club remains the main breeding ground for talent, with five new entrants to the national team, including Rachmat Ardianto, Andrei Adistia and Jenna Gozali.

Shuttlers Agripina Prima Rhamanto and Ery Oktaviani Andriyana were shortlisted from Jakarta’s Jayaraya Club while East Java’s Wima Surabaya Club contributed two shuttlers, Febrian Irvannaldy and Riky Widianto.

East Java’s Suryanaga Club, Jakarta’s Tangkas Alfamart and West Java’s Mutiara Bandung each had a shuttler qualify for the national junior team: Variela Aprilsari Putri Lejarsari, Fernaldi Marcus Gideon and Ricky Karanda Suwardi respectively.

Ricky was also in the country’s youth squad at the Asia Youth Under-19 in Malaysia, where Indonesia reached the mixed-team event semifinals.

Meanwhile, seven shuttlers were demoted from the main team, excluding four shuttlers who resigned. The four are top men’s doubles Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan, who recently made their professional debut at the All England Super Series, men’s doubles shuttler Lingga Lie, who decided to rejoin Djarum Club, and mixed doubles shuttler Lita Nurlita.

    complicated after seleknas result

Just for sharing about news i got.

Some regional badminton associaton in indonesia feel disatisfied about seleknas result.

    They have some reason:

    1. all scouts weren't involved for choosing talented player. so for what PBSI have scouts.

    2. PBSI didn't select women single player, so for what they made selection in women single player.

3.There is an individual importance from somebody who have power in organization.

4.It's like there was scenario while choosing some player. PBSI didn't use the system that they have, but they just used their policy.

Some regional associaton have already made protest to PBSI. some articles about this problem have been published in local sport newspaper.

now, they just wait what PBSI will do about this.

    thanks

Because I think, PBSI don't want to grow up. so they didn't select player well. how come PBSI scout's was not involved while choosing selection player.
