One lesson: we cannot rely on Rian/Yoke in crucial ties even against mid-tier pairs. Sad to say, I think they have to be split as they have reached their limit at the moment I prefer a scratch pairing like Alvent/Ahsan during the Thomas Cup Final
yeah... why Mr.Sigit didn't try tho split Yonathan/Rian..? hope it works.. Yonathan/Ahsan Rian/Bona Split Shendy/Meilina get great impact for INA WD... INA have some combination now.. 1st WD : Greysia/Nitya, Greysia/Meilina 2nd WD :Shendy/Meilina, Shendy/Lilyana Good Job Mr.Aryono... we must see how far Greysia/Meilina and Shendy/Nitya in All England.. btw, Simon lead 17-14 i'll if simon lost..
Finally Simon beat Choi with 21-18 21-19. Congrat to INA for high achievement in Preliminary TC 2010. However, PBSI must review the performance of INA players. Some players such as Rian/Yoke is far away from our hope. PBSI must do something, split pairs or looking for new pair for them....
Simon Santoso beat Choi Ho Jin 21-18, 21-19 to make it 3-2 to Team INA. So, Team INA fulfills the top-seeding for the Qualification.
i think the problem lies with yoke not being an aggressive enough player at the net...remember when eng hian used to partner rian?they did well...rian needs a partner who can 'fish' for short returns to kill at the rear court... but anyhow...congrats to INA!!hope we can do well..taufik seems to be on form...kido/alvent sorta worries me a little...if they cant even win against 2nd korean pair, how can we expect them to win against LYD/JJS?
i think when it comes to group matches, INA women can be counted on...but we still have to see what happens tmr...
Team event is much more interesting than individual championship. Who really predicted that INA Thomas Cup 3 singles are unbeatable this week ? Especially since the team consists of mostly same players like 2 years ago. I have to admit that I believe Sony and Simon would be unbeatable as 2nd and 3rd singles. But Taufik surprises me. It's good to see that he is better as professional than with PBSI. As for men doubles, there are still time to improve until May. Just like the women doubles who improves in 3 months.
Firda seems too strong for Bae Seung Hee. 18-10 now, with 10 smash vs zero from Korean. Let see if she can maintain the momentum on second set.
... ..all i'm gonna write is: we'll see how they'll perform when the real competition rolls around in May.. *Of course team event is much more interesting and fun to follow; besides being able to see the same players perform, at least twice.. ..yes, you're late to the party and there have been news about his absence, but i'll just give a clue in the thread below (see post #13): http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81361
