I've seen cases at club level where one player hits a net shot, but is out of position, can't recover, and the opponents cross court it, and the partner(seeing his partner struggle and seeing that his partner won't be able to even attempt to get the cc net return), then picks up the cross-court one, typically giving it a lift or if he has good reach and can get a winner then maybe a push..

Does this(one player beiing out of position on a net shot unable to get the cross court and partner stepping up and getting the cross court), happen ever at county level?

Or is it purely a club level stunt when one player is a bit amateurish and the other is very good?
