LEE CHONG WEI!! LEE CHONG WEI!! GOOD FAST GAME!!! Statistics of both players, both had to play a pair of chinese MS each prior to this match LEE CHONG WEI!!! Too bad the korean guy couldn't stay focused in Kuantan and the 'kampung' crowd!!!
may i point out that almost every Olympic MS qualifiers are present in this tournament except for the Koreans?
Park Sung Hwan is a worthy successor to Korean Singles, he has a bright future ahead as he is only 19.
it will be interesting to see what Li YongBo decides on. it is unlikely that Bao/Lin/Xia held back anything as their qualification spots is in question. if they played their best and still come out short of a spot in the final, then it will firstly be very worrying and secondly this tournament isn't going to help LiYB decides on anything.
haha...yea, but better don't expect too much from LCW yet. Still too early (i guess) THe Chinese men's players are not really that impressive this time but they will be able to rise in the Olympics
You are right Mirrura, but this win should boost his confidence. Lee CW and Hafiz does not fear anyone, and Choon Hann should take note.
hm... interesting.... the first 3 MD pairs. JR/LP are not playing. Kim/Ha are not playing. Fu/Cai lost in the early rounds. that leaves the 4th ranked pair Choong/Lee, who are in the finals and have a chance at the winner. that'll will be a boost to their rankings for sure and thus a boost in their seedings...
Ok...the first set of MD had just ended. Kinda heart-thumping if you are one any side of the pair. Msian pair won 15-13. Actually msian pair was leading 7-0 at first but the Ina pair caught up to lead 8-7 and then Ina attacked more but still not enough to fight the msian pair, thus losing 15-13.
Hi Kwun, I was just looking at the ranking list, and I am wondering if you can answer some questions: 1. If Choong/Lee emerge victorious, does this mean they will surpass Jonas/Lars? 2. Does the Olympics make use of the latest rankings (i.e the one that will take into account the Malaysian Open) to decide the draws, or the previous ranking used to decide qualification?
