    Hi Petersen,

Thank you so much, just called the Mumbul Arena but they don't provide any coach just the court, what a pity.

Will PM you in October, if I don't manage to find a coach then I will just go and play.

    regards,
    Anthony

    Hi Petersen,

How are you? Do you have the luck to get any contact of the coach?

    regards,
    Anthony

    Hi Anthony

There was one I talked with, but found the price to be crazy,, with the thought we are in Indonesia.

    • I suggest you come by Gelegor Carik-Denpasar courts I sometimes play there Tuesday and Friday with some Germans and Locals with a variety of different levels .. But things have been a little uncertain bcoz of Mount Agung, many of those I normally play are home in their respective villages or is out helping with the evacuations..
    • Brief me when you are arrived and feel ready :)

    Hi Petersen,

Once again thank you for the info. How does this work in Bali with the courts/clubs? Do I need to be a member before I go or I can just come by and join the players there?

I am so looking forward to playing badminton in Bali.

    BR.

    Hey Petersen,

I arrived in Bali and actually started my first day training with my coach in Gelogor Carik, we do the training in the morning but there weren't many players around. Guess people come and play in the evenings?

I have also visited the Timur Jaya badminton store in Denpasar, they have some shuttlecock brands which I have never heard of before. Don't know about the quality but I would like to buy some and take with me back to Cyprus. Any recommended brand? I found this Yonex League 5 which I don't know if it is really from Yonex as I can't find it on the Yonex website.

    regards,
    Anthony

    Hey Anthony sounds great
I will be at Gelogor Carik on Friday from around 16 if you want you can join in,, Tomorrow I will be at Sidharta Bulutangkis from 17,, which are a little bit of a hard-boiled place but fun too,, you are very welcome to come by with your racket and check it out ...
Mostly people will start up around 18, when it's getting a little more chilled.
I prefer League 5 or Saxon both quite durable and long lasting (if new stock,, everything dry fast out :) for the most the locals will play with the 50-60.000 Rupiah shuttles

If you have a local number -or whatsapp you can send me a PM

    Regards Petersen

    Hi Petersen,
You suggested contacting you with PM when in Bali, but for reason unknown to me system will not let me send you PM... I may be doing something wrong but I am constantly getting error message when I try PM...

So, here I am in Bali. I arived today, and I am here to 25th... I am stationed in Legian.
Can you point me in the right direction? I would love to have couple of badminton games here?

I am social player in Melbourne, Australia and I would probably be mid-beginner or low-intermediate level...

    Can you help?

    Cheers,
    ZZ

ZZ Check out >Gelegor Carik, Bulutangkis/Badminton on Maps there should be a pin on the address !
The next couple of days the different courts, are closed due to Galungan Hindu-holy-day but everything should be running normally again from Friday more or less :) and I hope I will be playing on the address above Friday 17-18 o'clock,, you're welcome to join in !
But will confirm the time (tomorrow Thursday here on BC) don't know "accurate" for how long time, people will be hanging out in their villages, so it could be postponed :)

We're going to Bali next year March 2018, and would love to play while we're there.
I'm a decent player (B grade - Melbourne Aus), and my partner's a C grade. We're also interested in coaching as we want to improve.

I realise it's a while away, but I'd like to see if there's any forumites are going to be there and would like to join us. Hope it's not too much to ask :)
