    I can envision myself like one of those over-the-top WWE wrestling managers. You know, when the wrestler is introduced to loud music, flashy videos and pyrotechnics, sometimes his manager accompanies him, cigar in mouth and looking like a million bucks. He's generally gesturing aggressively and pretending to look intimidating. Of course he can assume this posture while his "bodyguard" is around. Now you you can see how we're assembling our team. Now, where can I find those 'roids for cooler, Sandy and leonard...:D:D:D

    I see PAW individual Ranking isn't suitable for PAW team's ranking, the points is too big.
    We have experience in PAW team's ranking system following Fed's cup rules and the event use "Round Robin" System.

    The Badminton PAW's team looked like F1 race.
    Does anyone know the the rule of F1 team's ranking calculation ?
    I will implement it in PAW team's Ranking calculation if posible.

    currently the F1 awards points based on position after the race:

    1st - 10 points
    2nd - 8
    3rd - 6
    4th - 5
    5th - 4
    6th - 3
    7th - 2
    8th - 1

    i guess you could use that, then the team with the most points wins. but then, what happens if no one from any of the teams actually makes it into the top 8?
    :D

    I was thinking of something much simpler, without the addition of further ranking points, something of which both Rudy and Luyi80 have given examples.

    TEAM RESULTS (for each PAW)

    Based on the just concluded Polish Open:

    (1) Number in bracket represents the position of the team player as shown by Sandy on a periodical basis, whether for Day1, Day 2, QF, SF or F. The team's 3 best positions will be added to ascertain the total score.

    In the Team Results, the team with the total lowest number of points will rank higher. It is the reverse of the scoring system for the Individual PAWs.

    1. Dream Team : 11 points
    * Dimitry (1)
    * Stork (4)
    * Dreamzz (6)

    2. MAD Hatters : 12 points
    * Leonard (2)
    * Sandy (3)
    * Madbad (7)

    3. Wonderful World : 30 points
    * Loh (8)
    * Loopy (10)
    * Louisa (12)

    4. Chong Wei Club : 40 points
    * George@chongwei (5)
    * Azabaz_Ipoh (16)
    * 920808 (19)

    CUMMULATIVE TEAM RESULTS

    Assuming in 3 PAWs, the total individual score of the teams are:
    (6 points, 3 members in podium finish, is the lowest that any team can secure.)

    1. Dream Team 11, 20, 15 (total 46 points)
    2. Mad Hatters 12, 12, 12 (36)
    3. Wonderful World 30, 8, 9 (47)
    4. Chong Wei Club 40, 11, 8 (59)

    So, Mad Hatters is leading with 36 cummulative points, followed by Dream Team (46), Wonderful World (47) and Chong Wei Club (59).

    If Sandy finds it too time consuming to devise the above results, then I suggest that one of us compile them manually.

    Hau-ge is definitely good at it, and
    Luyi80 seems to be quite comfortable to assist, in case Hau-ge is travelling or vice-versa. It is also good that both can cross-check the results in case of unintended mistakes.

    Yup, agree with u Sandy. So, mayb we just take into account top 20 pawers, just like in F1, they only take top 8.

    So, my proposal is:
    1st: 30 pts
    2nd: 28 pts
    3rd: 26 pts
    4th: 24 pts
    5th: 22 pts
    6th: 20 pts
    7th: 18 pts
    8th: 16 pts
    9th: 14 pts
    10th: 12 pts
    11th: 10 pts
    12th: 9 pts
    13th: 8 pts
    14th: 7 pts
    15th: 6 pts
    16th: 5 pts
    17th: 4 pts
    18th: 3pts
    19th: 2 pts
    20th: 1 pts

    The rest will be no points at all. What do u guys think?

    So, in order to ease our job in team calculation, I hope every Pawer, especially those who always take part to form their groups ASAP, then I can start calculating the Team Standing. Now only 4 teams competing, no exciting enuff...hehe!

    I see what you mean. This is also a good and fair system since most teams, if not all, will gain at least some points in the final tally.

    20th position is reasonable for the time being as each team can accommodate up to 5 members, so if we have 20 teams, it will mean 100 PAWers, a record number in PAW history.

    Hope we can have it started and administered as quickly as possible.

    wow, this is getting way too complicated. i think the initial idea of top 3 in the team counting the team positions still remains the best idea. no need for any additional points system, no hassle, no fuss ....
