Thanks for compliments. Hats off to sink for the design, work, creation etc, I just overruled on the visuals a bit. It really feels special now. I just hope I've not ruined it!

Thread opened to discuss "de-painting your badminton racquet".

Really want to try ppv2 now. Is there the same amount of Kevlar in that?

Haha yeah, my friend used to do it with all his racket, although with the intention of simply respraying them. I would never do it myself though, even if it does look epic.

Shame that that's what you have to go through to get it in a sensible spec though eh ;)

    This is amazing!

My TPK has been hanging on the shelf since it's too head heavy for me, but if removing the paint affects the bp that much, I need to give it a try!

Just a word of caution, though I'm sure everyone's aware, the paint and clearcoat do provide some degree of protection to the underlying carbon in case of a clash. So, definitely any clash will easily be the kiss of death.

Yeah, for what it's worth I'd never risk it.

Understand the risks, but at this point, I'm not even using my TPK because it's too head heavy =[.

Looks like Kevlar underneath. Definitely needs re protecting, wax if nothing else!

    I've created a monster. Who'd have thought such power from a mid/headlight 4u :)

Perhaps I have missed it in this massive 442 page thread but what is the best way to purchase one of the PPV2 racquets and how does one go about making sure of the balance point they are getting?

I wonder what happens to the racquets that you receive that are imbalanced? As part of your own QC I think you said you check they spin without wobble. Do the ones that fail go back? If not, I'll email you about them with your blessing.

Yes, all Panda rackets are checked for balance.

So far, 99.9% of the rackets have passed the test because at the Factory, they check for balance too.

Once they arrive email Noah or myself with your spec's as until the shipment arrives hard really to do anything. When in doubt contact Dinkalot {Dan} as he can delegate the best way to go. Watch the link as Dan always lets people know and has a pretty pic of them.

    cheers

Oh yes, this silly Panda forgot the picture (will take better ones when the rackets are received), thanks.

If Panda gets thes rackets by the end of the week, when might the Canadian distributors get theirs? Or maybe a better question is, when does a Canadian buyer start to bug their distributor?
